Intuition. You have it.

Today’s parents face a variety of challenges. Balancing work and family can create stress.

There is an expectation for parents to know the latest child development information and child rearing techniques. There is an overwhelming amount of contradictory information with advice on how to raise happy and well-adjusted children. Our fast pace technology-based world provides endless insights, tools and benefits for better parenting, yet your mobile phone, email and especially social media, equally overwhelms and distracts you constantly.

So what are parents to do?

Do parents listen to their intuition on a parenting issue or follow the ever ready online advice? Are parents able to combine both? Wouldn’t it be ideal if parents could trust their intuition to decide if a technique would work for their child and their family situation?

If you think everyone else has the ‘perfect’ child and family life and the pressure on you to achieve, and be someone you are not, is becoming overwhelming  then it’s time to LOG OFF for a bit and focus on learning about YOUR  baby.  Their temperament, behaviours, likes and dislikes.  Learn to get to know your little one and be the parent you want to be.

Confidence is Crucial

Know and trust yourself.  Self-doubt, fear, distraction and even advice from other parents can all distort your feelings. Many are well meaning, however, constant advice takes you away from the SPACE you need to learn about yourself as a parent.

Always remember you know your child better than anyone else.

Whether you call it intuition or a gut feeling, everyone has access to this source of wisdom. Intuition is about really connecting to yourself. It’s deep feeling in your heart and your gut that something feels right or wrong.
