I’m Chris Simms, Mum to three children and Nan to my adorable grandchildren who have enabled me to relive parenthood all over again.

About Precious Slumber - Chris Simms

I have an extensive background in education, having taught within both the Australian system and internationally. 

In addition to my time at a range of schools, I have been instrumental in setting up & running ‘early learning programs’, catering to a wide range of ages from 6 week old babies through to early school age children.  Throughout my life and career I have developed a passion for the growth and development of young children physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually.

My personal experience and career have lead me to understand how important a stable sleep pattern is for your little one’s growth and development as well as the happiness of their parents. It is achievable for everyone with the right guidance and rewards us with happy, healthy children and families.

Being a parent is one of the most rewarding, yet challenging, roles you will ever have.  It is understandable therefore that the uncertainty and insecurity of your days and nights, mixed with the ever-present expectations of the ‘perfect’ baby and child, can lead to self-doubt.

In our modern society we have, to a large extent, lost that ‘village’ that is needed to raise a child.

It is my passion and aim to help you trust your intuition (as you know your child better than anyone) whilst equipping you with the tools you need to help your child have their best nights’ sleep.

Sleep deprivation can affect all areas of life, however, you don’t have to struggle through your days in a sleep haze with an over tired baby. At Precious Slumber we work with you to get your little one settled and having great sleep, always working with your parenting style. Sleep isn’t a luxury, it is a biological need for your baby AND for you.

Thank you so much for all of your advice that you’ve given to us, to help with little Elijah’s sleep!
